COMPOSITION
Dexamethasone 21 phosphate: 40 mg.
Excipients q.s.: 10 ml.
ACTION for dexagold
Antinflammatory. Corticoid.

INDICATIONS
Acute and chronic inflammatory conditions of the locomotor system (myositis, tendonitis, synovitis, osteitis, osteoarthritis).

Shock. Allergy. Inflammatory or edematous conditions of the airways.
Hemoglobinuria. Photosensitization. Neonatal maladjustment syndrome.

CONTRAINDICATIONS for dexagold
Don´t use:
in case of suspected digestive ulcers or in the presence of systemic mycoses.
in lung infections or in intralesional form in localized infections if the corresponding antibiotic coverage is lacking.
Don´t administer in parallel to any vaccine, or in the presence of osteoporosis.
Don´t use in pregnant in the last third of gestation.
Since it is a fast-acting drug, its use should not be extended for more than 7 days.
Since the product will be used in circumstances beyond the control of the processor, the manufacturer is not responsible for the consequences arising from the inappropriate use of the same.

SIDE EFFECTS AND ADVERSE REACTIONS
Over-administered for long periods, corticosteroids can cause sodium and fluid retention, potassium loss, muscle weakness, osteoporosis, and delayed healing.

DOSAGE
It can be given intramuscularly, intravenously or intraarticularly.
Adult horses 10 to 40 mg per day.
